Food on Table

Sunday evening supper on the farm was so much fun, especially if we had visited relatives.  It was unheard of to leave someone’s house without taking a plate home.  Supper was the time when the goodies were spread out on the table, you got a plate and just dug in.  It was also a time when we would sit around after our feast and reflect on the church service and how good it felt to see all of our relatives.  When Lassie came on that was the signal for my Aunt’s pound cake,  Momma’s  coconut cake and homemade vanilla ice cream.  To this day, I still love Sunday evenings.

Along this road called life I stopped by a few schools to fulfill my lifelong learning quest.  My education includes a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management in the areas of Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Global Strategic Management, Cultural Studies and Psychology. My current educational endeavor is a Masters in Human Resources with a concentration in Global Management. My current educational endeavor is a Masters in Human Resources with a concentration in Global Management. This journey has also afforded me the opportunity to stop by a few jobs. My most recent experience was with the Department of Treasury as an Accounts Manager. Prior experience was in the Human Resources area for seventeen years working in the staffing area, personnel processing area and the EEO Department for the Department of Defense. My teaching experience includes facilitating and teaching Total Quality Management the forerunner for Lean Six Sigma, Diversity, Sexual Harassment, and MD-715 classes. I have served as a Special Emphasis Program Manager and a Certified Navy Mediator. My favorite job journeys were working for Chase Manhattan Bank, The City of New York,  Haskins and Sells and Co. and the Juilliard School of Music.   My parents always told me you can be whatever you want to be. My childhood ambition was to become a teacher. A passion of mine is helping others follow their dreams. I know too much about nothing so I believe in lifelong learning. . My favorite memory is holidays with family. Why I write is an unexplainable passion.  I have a body of literary work that  is registered with the Library of Congress entitled, "Just a Farmer’s Daughter".
